Unfehlbar English Red Deer is owned and operated by Guy Brady and is located on a small farm in West Melton on the Canterbury Plains. Breeding since 1999, Guy has concentrated on Pure Woburn, Pure Warham and Pure English Woburn/Warham Deer and prides himself on having an extremely well breed, modern, genetic base, which has been enhanced through AI and ET programmes, using proven producing Sires and Hinds.

This has been a rocky year in more ways than one and therefore I am very proud to present this selection of 2 year stags to the market.

This 2011 sale is significant in the fact that some of the 2 year old stags are progeny from my own stud breed sires. I present stags from Balmoral and Blue 260 in this year’s sale and next year Montgomery and Woody will join the list of my own bred sires. Also I present the first stags from Caliber, who has a massive head this year as a five year old and, of course, Aslan stags make another appearance. I feel it is important to present my own bloodlines as I believe it gives the Unfehlbar Stud more credibility as a breeder.

My previous stag purchasers are not only the "big" ones everyone hears about but also examples like Darryl Butterick’s Lot 5 from my 2008 sale which had a mid 400 IOA head at 4 years. Not forgetting Dave and Gwenda Wering’s stag Blue 51 from our first sale which cut 8.9kg velvet this season. These two examples together with our past stars reinforce my policy of offering good stock for all levels of investment.

While I only produce between 80 - 90 fawns annually, I seem to be able to maintain my high strike rate of quality stags. As in previous sales, I only offer 2 year old stags as I am convinced that this is the age they should be selected.
